Mama Raccoon

Well, well, well... If it isn’t Mama Raccoon and her little babies digging around in a trashcan looking for a tasty scrap! The masked marauders sneak around carefully, feeling with their sensitive paws. Hopefully they find something delicious tonight!

I had so much fun making this commissioned piece! I used three pieces of grey beach glass and melted, tumbled aluminum for the trash can! Besides beach glass I like to collect other unusual flotsam that might add more whimsy to my artwork. Tumbled aluminum can be found within the rocks on the beaches. This aluminum comes from melted aluminum cans, which cool and harden into unique shapes.
